Services for Troy Dean Baker, 75, of Brownfield and formerly of Post will be at 2 PM Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in the Calvary Baptist Church with Jimmy Valdez officiating. Burial in Terrace Cemetery will be under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Troy died on May 21, 2022 in Lubbock. He was born on May 28, 1946 in Stephenville, Texas to Johnny and Mary (Reese) Baker. He married Lucille Guthrie on July 15, 1964 in Post. She preceded him in death on January 13, 2006. Troy was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He worked for many years at Postex Cotton Mills and later retired as a truck driver in the oilfield.

Troy was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Jerry and Jimmy Baker.

Survivors include two daughters: Sherry (Greg) Williams of Lubbock and Pamela (Rob) Hogue of Lubbock, one sister: Marti Sue Baker of Lake Leon, two brothers: Kenneth Baker of Moran and Dennis (Cathy) Baker of Ponchoutula, La. and four grandchildren: Justin (Darby) Williams of Lubbock, Breeyae Hogue of McKinney, Macy (Evan) Denton of Frisco and Mitchell Hogue of Frisco and one great grandchild: Preslyen Williams of Lubbock
