Wesley Gene Morris, 78, of Post, Tx passed away on August 14, 2026. He was born October 15, 1947 in Post, Tx to Harlan and Imogene Morris.

Wesley lived a life defined by hard work, service, loyalty, and unwavering love for his family. He devoted much of his life to the oilfield, where he built a reputation for his strong work ethic, determination, and willingness to do whatever it took to provide for those he loved. The oilfield was more than a career to him, it was a way of life that reflected the hardworking, dependable man he was.

His commitment to serving others extended beyond his work. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine, carrying with him the honor, discipline, and pride of the Marine Corps throughout his life. He was also a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge and VFW Auxiliary organizations that allowed him to continue serving his community and fellow veterans.

While he accomplished much throughout his life, his greatest pride was always his family. He loved his family deeply and cherished the time spent with them. He was a provider, a protector, a mentor, and a steady presence whose love and example will continue to live on through the people who knew him. His family will forever remember his strength, his stories, his sense of humor, and most of all his hard working nature.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents Harlan and Imogene Morris; his son Kevin Morris; and three brothers, Virgil Morris, Ricky Morris, and Harlan James Jr Morris.

Wesley is survived by his wife Anita of 30 years; his three sons, Rodney Tidwell (Reshea) of Post; Steven Tidwell of Post; Chase Morris of Joshua; his three daughters, Cheyenne Brooks (Orrin) of Post; Chelby Morris (Austin Molnoskey) of Post; Trudy Hartson (Hud) of Midlothian; 12 grandchildren, Jacie Kimmons, Ragin Kimmons, Bailey Clarkson (Easton), Logan Tidwell, Aaron Brooks, Hadlei Molnoskey, Hazel Molnoskey, Camdyn Brooks, Andi Mae Brooks, Triston Hill, Trent Hill, Taylor Hill; 1 great grandchild, Waylon Clarkson; two sisters, Janey McMillan of Tahoka, Peggy Leatherwood of Lubbock; and his brother Ray Morris of Post.

His service to his country, his dedication to his work, and most of all, his love for his family will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held at Hudman Funeral Home on Monday, August 17th at 6:00 P.M.
