Wesley Bryan Redman
January 31, 1957 – February 25, 2026
Wesley (Wes) Bryan Redman, 69, of Post, Texas, passed away on February 25, 2026, at a nursing home in Slaton, Texas.
Born and raised in Post, Texas, Wes lived much of his life in West Texas, with cherished time also spent in Bastrop. He dedicated his career to public service as an Enforcement Officer with the Texas Comptroller's Office, where he worked diligently until his retirement.
A quiet man with a wonderful sense of humor, Wes was known for his quick wit and love of a good joke—he could always bring a smile to those around him. He found great joy in simple pleasures: fishing, woodworking, and taking his family on outings to the state park in Bastrop, where they made lasting memories together.
Above all, Wes was a devoted Christian. He loved the Lord deeply, cherished the Word of God, and lived out his faith with quiet strength. He was saved by grace, and that transformation meant everything to him—he passed that same love for Christ on to his daughters, Briana and Abbey, a legacy they carry with gratitude.
He is survived by his loving wife, Penny Redman; his daughters, Briana Redman Norwood and Abbey Redman; his grandchildren, Kaeden Norwood and Zoey Redman; his great-grandchild, Joplin Redman; his sister, Debbie Jenkins; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Redman Sr.; his mother, Jane Redman Criswell; his brother, John Redman Jr.; and his nephew, Robert "Bobby" Reiter.
Though we grieve his absence, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life he held so dear: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV).
His love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Terrace Cemetery with Jimmy Valdez officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.
